Colormax Systems Single Screw Loss-in-Weight Feeders are designed to provide high-accuracy, high-value gravimetric feeding for a variety of materials including pellets, granules, free flowing powders and other bulk materials. Feed rates are possible from 5-1200 L/hr.
Single screw feeders are available with a wide range of interchangeable feed screws depending on the material being fed. The feeder is mounted on the K-Tron Colormax C2 scale, which uses a high speed and highly accurate load cell. The scale material is stainless steel and the scale housing is completely enclosed. All material contact parts are stainless steel. The feeder is easily disassembled for cleaning or change-over. The special design of the feeding bowl is unique.
Optimum feed screws are determined based on material characteristics of the bulk solid to be fed. Following are estimated feed rates for free flowing materials. For feed rates at either end of the range, feeder testing is recommended.
